August 2026: Creating Arrays from Multi-Index Tables, Targeted Output Groupings, and DateAdd Formula

This month’s releases make it easier to organize assumptions and projections, build more flexible models, document modeling decisions, and work with APIs and reporting tools. We also introduced improvements to projection visibility, model comparison, and runtime reliability.

New Features

Build richer date calculations with DateAdd A new DateAdd formula lets you add or subtract days, months, or years from a date, with support for leap years, month-end behavior, and standard date validation.

Create array from a multi-index data table A new “list” data type for variables and “list” source for arrays, along with a modification to the Data Table Read function, allow users to create an array of values from any index in a multi-index data table. This makes it easier for users to manage data in a single multi-index table, rather than several smaller single-index tables. See this support article for more details and a callable bond example.

Apply product output groupings selectively Product Output Groupings can now be applied to selected variables and/or tags, giving model developers more control over which variables are included. Reducing the scope of variables that get grouped can improve runtimes and reduce unnecessary output.

Document projection templates Projection Templates now support rich-text documentation and file attachments. Documentation and attachments are preserved when templates are copied or used to create projections.

Document data tables Data Tables now include a dedicated documentation area with auto-save, versioning support, and preservation through copying, merging, and model export.

Organize assumptions with folders Assumption Management now supports folders that mirror the structure used for models, helping teams navigate and maintain assumptions more efficiently. Folder changes remain synchronized between assumptions and models.

Move multiple projections into folders Multiple projections can now be selected and dragged into a virtual folder in one action.

Enhancements

  • Identify projection run modes more easily The projection list now provides clearer visual cues to distinguish Cores and High Performance Mode runs, including the number of cores used for Cores projections.
  • Navigate directly to referenced variables Referenced variables in Present Value and Yield Curve Merge formulas can now be opened directly from Debug View or the Formula Builder.
  • Compare copied models more quickly Models copied from another model now include a convenient link to open Model Compare with the source and target models preselected.
  • Choose scenario file versions in projection templates Projection Templates now provide a dedicated version selector when choosing scenario files.
  • Improve model and data table comparisons Compare View now surfaces documentation and selected property differences for Data Tables. Array merging has also been expanded to support static arrays and additional dynamic array types as sources.
  • Add links to model documentation exports Variable names in Model Documentation exports are now linked to their corresponding locations in the platform.

API Enhancements

  • Improve API access and detail API enhancements include model point field descriptions, Product Output Grouping variable scope, and broader access to production-model GET endpoints for appropriately authorized personal API token users. Workbook endpoint validation now accepts projection controls with flexible naming, provided they clearly identify a projection ID.

Fixes

  • Large Data Tables now use a bounded display area to improve loading and navigation performance.
  • Restarted scenarios in Cores runs no longer create duplicate scenario result records.
  • Non-model administrators can now access documentation for production models as expected.
  • Projection status updates now refresh correctly while a run is in progress.
  • Model Compare no longer reports data table differences incorrectly after Data Tables are merged.
  • Static array selections are now preserved when switching arrays on Formula Per Array variables.
  • Force Recalc variable results now appear correctly within a formula in Debug View.
  • Array references are preserved more consistently when changing from two-dimensional to one-dimensional arrays.
  • Projection configuration now provides clearer guidance when a selected product does not contain fields used by a model point filter.
  • Model Documentation exports and Model Compare now represent two-dimensional array variables more accurately.
  • Data Table selectors now show the updated Data Table name and version.
  • File uploads now provide a specific message when “Other Delimiter” is selected without entering a delimiter.
